Samsung refreshes Galaxy S23 FE, A34, Z Fold4/Flip4, and Tab S8 with February 2025 update

Samsung has started releasing a fresh software update month of February 2025 for a few Galaxy devices, including the Fan Edition model, S23 FE; the 4th Gen foldables, Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4; a series unit, A34; and the Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra. The update integrates the February 2025 security patch and is currently rolling out in the company’s hometown, South Korea.
The build numbers indicate that the update is based on Android 14 and runs One UI 6.1 over the top, where the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 carry F936NKSS5GYA5 and F721NKSS5GYA5 version numbers, while the update for Galaxy S23 FE units has been spotted with the S711NKSS5BYB1 version.
Alternatively, the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, including Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra, comes with X700XXS9CYB1, X800XXS9CYB1, and X900XXS9CYB1 version numbers, and similarly, the Galaxy A34 has the A346NKSS9CYA2 build number.
Even though the February 2025 security update is only a little over 400MB, it has a lot of important fixes that were recommended by both Google and Samsung. These fixes are needed to fix all the security holes that were fixed in the previous version so that users can feel safe and the device is safe from harm and risks.
On the other side, the update further offers a smoother and more efficient system performance and functionality by integrating certain stability into the overall system behavior, bringing performance optimizations, and applying all the latest security patches.
For now, the new February update for all the aforementioned devices is only limited to South Korea, while it’s expected to be expanded to more eligible regions over the next coming days.
