Samsung expands February update to more Galaxy S24 FE units in the US

Samsung Galaxy S24 family’s Fan Edition model, the S24 FE is the top contender to get One UI 7 update; however, the device is currently receiving merely a February 2025 security patch

The February update for Galaxy S24 FE is now available for all the carrier-locked (T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Spectrum Mobile, Comcast, AT&T) and unlocked models in the US, and is identified with the S721USQS3AYA1 build number for the locked units, while the unlocked devices come with S721U1UES3AYA2 version number.

The software; however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes, rather it focuses on providing a more safe and secure user experience by integrating a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in previous versions, while also protecting the device against external potential attacks.

On the other hand, the update further adds stability to the overall system behavior, and brings certain performance optimizations that will significantly provide a smooth yet efficient performance and functionality.

Moreover, Samsung Galaxy S24 FE came back in September, 2024 with Android 14; while the device is strongly eligible to get the latest One UI 7 version, it’s still not clear when Samsung will begin rolling out its new software skin to this fan edition unit. But for now, the S24 FE owners can download the February patch on their devices when available.
