Over the years, Samsung has achieved a remarkable position in delivering the security updates consistently for its Galaxy devices.

Meanwhile, it’s obvious that older devices will eventually reach their deadline of receiving any crucial software updates in the future; Samsung bid adieu to a few devices that are not eligible to get security patches from now on.

Since Samsung has always focused on the security of its Galaxy devices, the company has categorized it into certain security updates, including monthly, quarterly, and biannual. Alternatively, the software updates are delivered according to their software update policy, and once the device’s update support eligibility reaches its deadline, the company stops providing any further updates to the devices.

No More One UI Updates: Samsung Drops Software Support for These Galaxy Phones

Now that the latest March 2025 Android security patch notes have been detailed, it suggests that Samsung has ended software support for a few devices, including the Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy F12, and Galaxy M12. Therefore, it’s clear that all three Galaxy devices received the February 2025 security patch as their last update and now become ineligible to receive any further key software updates in the future.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy F12, and Galaxy M12 with the Android 11 OS, and they were kept in Samsung’s three- and four-year software update policy. Thus, they were only capable of receiving four years of security updates. Well, they are already out of getting any major OS update, and now the security patch update also reaches the deadline.
