Samsung shows off two new folding screen concepts at the MWC 2025 event

It’s been a while since several rumors have already been circulating across the internet regarding Samsung’s first-ever dual-foldable phone, the Galaxy G Fold, including the one of skipping the Galaxy Unpacked event that specifically belongs to the foldable phone’s launch.

Meanwhile, during the ongoing MWC 2025 event, Samsung showcased two unique foldable concepts, one being a strange asymmetric dual-folding flip phone, while the other is the company’s folding gaming handheld.

Named Asymmetric Flip, this newest flip foldable looks slightly weird with two inward folding hinges that are placed at an unusual length at the phone’s top and bottom edges. It seems like due to this uneven hinge placement, Samsung could name it Asymmetric Flip; however, the hinges also leave a small section of space between them when folded.

Since the Asymmetric Flip phone’s design doesn’t match the regular foldable smartphone in the Galaxy Z Flip series, alternatively, the company also brings a new yet sleeker foldable gaming handheld that replicates Nintendo Switch in terms of design. Also, the latest gaming handheld has a hinge placed in the middle that allows users to fold it into two halves.

Well, the foldable gaming handheld design now looks more improved for providing portability and an ideal gaming experience to the gamers.

Moreover, Samsung apparently shows off its newest foldable phone concepts at MWC 2025; it’s better to wait for more official information, as currently, both the presented technologies are under development.
