Samsung secured ‘Carbon Reduction’ certification for a fifth consecutive year for Neo QLED TVs

Samsung secured a new countable certification ‘Carbon Reduction’ for its Neo QLED 8K and Neo QLED TVs for back-to-back fifth year.
The Korean tech giant via its official page announced that over 80 models of Samsung Electronics’ 2025 Neo QLED, OLED, and The Frame have received ‘Product Carbon Footprint’ and ‘Product Carbon Reduction’ certifications from Germany’s ‘TÜV Rheinland.’
Carbon Reduction certification is a process that verifies and validates the effectiveness of projects aimed at reducing or separating greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring the environmental integrity of these projects. The above-mentioned products secured the certifications based on how much they reduced their impact on the environment.
TUV Rheinland measures the greenhouse gas emissions of TV products throughout the entire life cycle from manufacturing, transportation, use, and disposal based on international standards and grants ‘carbon footprint’ certification.
Samsung Electronics has consonantly expanded its carbon reduction certification for its displays, initially starting with Neo QLED 4K TVs five years back in 2021 and elongating to a vast range of products such as LED, Crystal UHD, Lifestyle TV, OLED, monitors, and signage.
Regarding this, Executive Vice President of Visual Dispaly Business at Samsung Electronics, Taeyong Son, stated; “Samsung Electronics is continuing its challenge toward carbon neutrality for a sustainable future along with technological innovation,” said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “As the No. 1 company leading the global TV market, we will continue to take the lead in building an eco-friendly ecosystem by managing greenhouse gas emissions generated from the manufacturing to disposal of TV products.”
