Google is potentially heading towards another stunning yet more simplified version of Android Auto, as the company has just rolled out a new 14.0 version for its Android Auto users. Now, a recent report reveals that a few new features have been spotted in the newly launched version.

According to the Android Authority team, while diving deep into the latest Android Auto 14.0 version, they have discovered a new string code that showcased the sign of various climate control functions, suggesting a massive upgrade for the platform in the coming future.

Specifically, these climate control codes, when decoded, hint that Google may be looking forward to implementing certain functionalities, including the option to switch on/off the car’s AC. Simultaneously, a few references suggest that Google may be considering features such as windshield defrosting, seat temperature and ventilation control, recirculation, side mirror and steering wheel heating, fan speed control, and more.

Alternatively, the sync mode might be able to synchronize the driver’s and passenger’s temperatures; however, there’s no information about how the auto mode will work apparently.

Moreover, previous Android Auto updates have brought about a lot of significant changes and features, including the addition of NACS charging standards for non-Tesla EVs, Type 6 and LECCS charging standards for EVs, Material You coloring theme, and many more.

Since previously it was reported that a few climate (temperature) control features will make their way to Android Auto. If the aforementioned climatic control feature makes its way into any future updates of Android Auto, it could potentially be the most significant functionality upgrade of Google’s smart driving companion to date.
