Samsung delivers first software for the Galaxy A36 units: It’s April 2025 security patch

Samsung recently expanded its affordable Galaxy A portfolio by adding a few more smartphones to it, one of which is the Galaxy A36 5G. Meanwhile, it’s incredible that Samsung is providing the first-ever software update for the Galaxy A36 units after their launch.

More specifically, the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G has been spotted getting its first-ever software update, which is the latest April 2025 security update and is currently available in Europe; it will be expanded to more eligible regions shortly.

The update for the device is identified with the A366BXXS2AYC4 build number; however, the April patch doesn’t mention any major features and changes; rather, it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality.

The update integrates a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities while also protecting the device against potential threats in order to offer a more secure user experience.

In addition, the update further adds stability to the overall system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually help users to have an efficient and optimized functionality.

Since Samsung brought the latest Galaxy A36 5G with One UI 7 that runs Android 15 out of the box, at the same time, it’s expected that the One UI 7 stable rollout for Galaxy devices will resume shortly, which was currently halted due to some mysterious bugs or issues that need to be resolved.
