Samsung Electronics introduced ‘Samsung News’ in the UK for the very first time as a brand new news app designed to deliver the daily news.
Samsung News delivers a free digital news experience by curating a wide range of news from a range of diverse publications, completely free and without paywalls. The app will bring together top publishers, such as Sky News, Sky Sports Daily Mail, The Standard, The Independent, Mirror, Business Insider, Reuters, Metro, Indy 100, and OK!, alongside the rest of the other local news outlets, and more.
The service lets you tailor your feed with preferred topics for which it will use a team of editors to personalize news based on your reading habits and selected categories, such as politics, business, sports, & entertainment, and up to three regions. It includes a few key features: Morning & Evening Briefings, Top Stories, and Subject Spotlights.
Samsung News is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, adapting users’ preferences to deliver an intuitive reading experience. The service aims to deliver a broad selection of free content from premium partners, including breaking news, deep dives, and briefings hand-picked by experienced news editors.
The company will make the Samsung News available as an update to the existing Samsung Free app starting March 31st, 2025, with the new app icon. New users can easily download it from the Samsung Galaxy Store and personalize their news feed upon opening the application.
