Google’s Quick Share UI spotted on One UI 8 is supposed to arrive on all Android devices

Samsung is allegedly working on One UI 8 which will run Android 16 on top, a new similarity among both the OS has just come into light that is going to change how people share or receive files on their smartphones. Meanwhile, it looks like Google is working on providing a major UI overhaul for its Quick Share feature.

More specifically, Google’s Quick Share function is in line to receive the most impressive yet major UI revamp, as uncovered by Android Authority.

Quick Share Redesign

Since another report reveals that this revamped Quick Share UI has already been spotted in One UI 8, it’s not supposed to be exclusive to Samsung Galaxy devices.

Moreover, the team discovered a new code within the Google Play Services beta (25.15.31) version that significantly hints over a major yet much needed overall UI redesign of the Quick Share feature, while they even managed to let users know regarding the new resigned Quick Share feature with the help of the preview.

At the same time, first up, the preview apparently lists the new changes that have been performed. Next up, a few changes were part of Quick Share’s functionality, where it temporarily shows your device to others. Moving on, the redesigned UI arrived with two new modes: Receive and Send.

The Receive mode allows other devices to send you files, while the Send mode has its own new UI where the users are required to tap on the select files to share option which directly takes you to the file picker to choose the preferred files. At the same time, users can even enter into the Quick Share’s Receive mode UI by tapping on the Quick Share tile in the Quick Settings panel.

Since Samsung’s One UI 8 is still in its early stages of development, it’s possible that the company might add some new functionalities in future.
