Samsung launched its latest mid-range smartphone, named Galaxy M56, which is the slimmest phone in its segment. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications.
Last month, Samsung debuted a bunch of mid-range Galaxy devices under the A-series, including Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. Now it has debuted a new Galaxy M56 smartphone as the successor of Galaxy M55.
The newly launched Galaxy M56 measures 7.2mm in thickness, whereas its predecessor, Galaxy M55, has 7.8mm, and the recently launched Galaxy A56 has 7.4mm. This means that it is the slimmest device in its segment for now.
It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is 33% brighter and has 36% slimmer bezels compared to its predecessor. The company has powered the device with an in-house Exynos 1480 chipset and runs Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box.
The device is available in two variants based on storage, which are as follows –
- 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage
- 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage
The camera setup includes a 50MP wide, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. A 12MP camera is housed on the front side for selfies. It has a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging support.
Samsung offers two color choices for the devices: Black and Light Green. It will go on sale in the Indian market from April 23 with a starting price of INR 25,000.
