Samsung Restarts One UI 7 Stable Rollout for Galaxy S24 Series and New Foldables in the US

Samsung scheduled the stable One UI 7 update rollout for the eligible Galaxy devices, including the S24 and Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 units in the US, beginning April 10, although the rollout began on time; in the meantime, Samsung needed to pause the update, adhering to a new bug. Now, the company has resumed the update in the US.

It looks like Samsung has begun the global One UI 7 stable rollout as the update now reaches the US markets, following India’s significant lead.

Galaxy S24 Series, Fold 6, and Flip 6 get Stable One UI 7.0 Update in the US

The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra owners have started receiving the resumed stable One UI 7 update in the US, and it is currently available for both the carrier-locked (Verizon and T-Mobile) and unlocked models with the S92*USQU4BYD9 and S92*U1UEU4BYD9 build numbers, respectively.

Similarly, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 units are also getting the same update; however, it’s currently available only for the Verizon carrier-locked version numbers carrying the F956USQU2BYD9 and F741USQU2BYD9 build numbers, respectively.

Basically, Samsung has paused the stable One UI 7 rollout after encountering a bug, and after a long wait, the company finally resumed the rollout for the Galaxy S24 series alongside Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models in the US region; however, the update was only limited to South Korea, while this newest update comes in the form of a hotfix for more markets, including the US.

Well, the software update brings more improved Galaxy AI features while also enhancing the user’s performance, security, and privacy.

Also, if you were a beta participant, then you will automatically receive an update notification once the update is available for your devices. At the same time, if you are a non-beta user, then you can manually check for the update via the device’s settings.

What’s New in One UI 7.0

Samsung’s latest One UI 7 release introduces a significant software overhaul, including a refreshed visual interface. The redesign splits notifications and the Quick Panel into distinct pages, with the latter offering enhanced customization options—even integrating the volume slider for easier access. Alongside revamped native app icons, the update optimizes built-in applications and debuts a streamlined camera interface designed for one-handed use. It also packs new Galaxy AI tools to elevate device functionality.

The software expands personalization with redesigned widgets and styling options for both home and lock screens, which now offer greater flexibility. Motion effects and transitions feel noticeably smoother and more dynamic compared to older versions, complemented by animated charging visuals, an updated battery status indicator, and advanced battery health management.

A standout addition is the Now Bar, a dynamic notification strip on the lock screen that displays real-time updates such as media playback controls, live timers, workout stats via Samsung Health, sports scores, and navigation alerts. The update further enhances usability with dozens of smaller tweaks and performance upgrades.
