Samsung to introduce its own version of Quick Share for the Galaxy Books

Samsung and Google’s partnership has introduced a host of advancements not only for the Galaxy devices, but also for other Android phones at large. The biggest example is the Nearby Share, which recently got merged into Samsung’s Quick Share. Meanwhile, reports confirm that Samsung is about to bring its own Quick Share app especially for its Galaxy Books.

Basically, at this point in time, Google’s Quick Share supports all Windows PCs

from all the manufacturers, including Samsung Galaxy Books; however, Google itself confirmed that Samsung is looking forward to bring its own version of Quick Share that’s specially compatible with Samsung PCs.

Specifically, Samsung already supports Quick Share on its entire Galaxy ecosystem, while the company is taking steps to part ways from Google’s Quick Share and make a separate space for Quick Share for Windows PCs.

This will eventually help Samsung to organize a totally different app for its Galaxy Books, similar to what it currently has on its Galaxy phones.

At the same time, Google has further stated that it’s renaming and rebranding the Quick Share from Google to only Quick Share and brings support for the compatibility with Samsung’s Quick Share app, while also confirming that the support for Google’s Quick Share on Samsung Galaxy Books will end on May 28, 2025. After this date, Google’s Quick Share on Samsung PCs will redirect users to install the Quick Share app from Samsung.
