Samsung Digital Key Support Comes to New Porsche Macan Electric

Samsung’s Digital Keys are one of their kind, as they allow users to lock or unlock their cars using their smartphones. Meanwhile, so far, digital keys are compatible with plenty of vehicle brands, and now Porsche’s newest model joins the list!

Not just the ability to lock or unlock cars, Digital Keys further let users open the trunk using Remote Keyless Entry without even taking physical keys out of their pockets. At the same time, these keys are powered by an advanced UWB (Ultra Wideband) technology that makes sure that the users must have a secure experience, while also protecting against unauthorized access.

Now, this unique convenience of Samsung Digital Keys has combined with Samsung Wallet, which will certainly help Porsche owners to have a more effortless and convenient experience.

Basically, one of the big brands, Porsche, has just unveiled its newest SUV, the Macan Electric, which is perfectly compatible with Samsung Digital Keys, which will work on both Android and iOS phones. Despite that, the people owning Porsche’s latest Macan Electric will now be able to lock or unlock and start their car using digital keys that are integrated into the Samsung Wallet app.

It’s important to note that Macan Electric digital keys can easily work with Bluetooth Low Energy (LE), UWB, and NFC. Further, Porsche shared that the users will be able to share the Macan Electric’s digital keys with a total of seven persons using any messaging app or email. Additionally, if the newest Macan Electric is connected with the Porsche Connect package, then owners will be able to control their car’s trunk and luggage sections via the My Porsche app.

Well, Porsche is another among big car brands that received compatibility with digital keys via Samsung Wallet, as so far, several brands can already access digital car keys using their smartphones, including Audi, Mercedes, Volvo, Polestar, BMW, Tesla, and more.
