The South Korean firm Samsung always takes necessary steps in the field of health and the environment. Recently, Samsung has announced “Samsung Health Stack 1.0”, a breakthrough in digital health research. The company made this announcement at the annual conference and exhibition of the Health Information and Management System Society (HIMSS). Let’s learn more about Samsung’s new initiative.

Informatively, the HIMSS-hosted event was held from April 17 to 21 in Chicago. This year, more than 30,000 people from 1000+ global companies (including Samsung) participated in this event. Now, let’s move our focus to Samsung’s new “Samsung Health Stack 1.0”. Notably, Samsung Health Stack is an all-in-one open-source project that lets researchers easily build apps for digital health research and development.

Let us tell you, the Samsung Health Stack includes App SDK, web portal, and backend servers, which helps to make the system construction easy and also allows researchers to focus on their research. About the SDK in particular, it is beneficial to create apps that will be able to support frequent communication between researchers and participants. It will also increase the results of the research and leads to better research outcomes.

Basically, it is a solution to create a system with which we can perform health research through Android and WearOS Operating Systems. However, Samsung Health Stack is still in Beta; we should wait till June 2023 to get its official 1.0 version. If you want to experience those mobile apps and R&D tools, you just have to use Samsung Health Stack, which is available at the Samsung Electronics exhibition booth.

Informatively, the Korean firm unveiled an alpha version of Samsung Health Stack last year at the 2022 SDC. Now, in March 2023, they launched a Beta version, and the improved 1.0 version is scheduled to arrive in June 2023, which will improve research introduction, participant onboarding, wearable data collection, and basic survey functions. It sure will help healthcare company that uses wearable devices for research.

Let us tell you everybody can take advantage of the Samsung Health Stack and the SDK or Software Development Kit. Not only that but developers can also customize them as per their choice. The Health Stack will deliver end-to-end support and high security and does everything from data collection to analysis. In that manner, Yunsu Lee, Vice President and Head of the Data Intelligence Team at Samsung Electronics, has stated-

“By promoting the development of digital health services, we hope to ultimately improve the quality of life for people around the world. We also hope that the Samsung Health Stack, being an open-source project, will be helpful to many people in the field, and we welcome the participation of interested developers and researchers.”

Samsung’s exclusive Good Lock app and its modules are finally available on the Google Play Store. Previously, this app only appeared in the Galaxy Store.

Initially, Samsung introduced its Good Lock app back in March 2016, then stably released it on June 27, 2023, but only on its Galaxy Store. It is a free application that permits you to customize the user interface and experience on Samsung Galaxy devices.

Samsung Galaxy owners who prefer Google Play instead of the Galaxy Store can now easily download the Google Lock app directly from the Google Play Store. This is being speculated by a post on X shared by, Tarun, who stated that “Good lock is now available in the Google Play Store. I hope it will be available in more countries.”

By this statement, it is pretty clear that, at the moment, only in particular countries is the Good Lock app available in the Play Store, but it is expected that it will be available in more countries soon. However, the tipster didn’t mention the regions where this app was finally housed in the Play Store.

Apart from this, reportedly, Good Lock’s One Hand Operation+ module is available on the Play Store. The Korean giant has already mentioned ‘Early Access’ to Good Lock’s name in the Play Store, so the company is testing the waters right now. It is expected that it could remove the ‘Early Access’ tag once things get stable.

Samsung Hints Popup-Minimizing Feature in One Hand Operation+

Published

Samsung One Hand Operation+ provides unique functionality to Galaxy users; they can complete various tasks with only one hand. To make it possible, the company has optimized its software to support almost all the applications that are open in the popup view. Now,  for more convenience, some users are demanding a new feature to minimize them.

According to a user, if the company provides the minimize button for the popup window, it will give them the them the convenience to manage them and give them the power to individually remove them from the screen and open them quickly.

As of now, when you want to remove the popup window from the screen, you tap on the home button, but it closes all the windows, including the active one, which ruins the experience of multitasking.

Now, after taking it as a request, the community moderator has said that the request to minimize the feature will be taken into consideration and may be provided with the next update, but he hasn’t confirmed that the feature will come in the next update.

For more clarification, you can check the official statement: “We will review the requested pop-up view minimization feature and, if possible, add it in the next update. Please understand that we cannot give a definitive answer as to whether or not features will be added.”

If you also use the popup window functionality on your devices, then you may also need the minimize option to properly control it, and then keep the One Hand Operation+ plugin up to date. May it provide the desired feature in the next update?
