US Unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and Flip 3 updated to August 2023 patch

After serving the August 2023 security update to several flat-screen devices, including the Galaxy S20 FEGalaxy M14 5G, and Galaxy S23, Samsung has now expanded the update to its previous generation of foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Fold 3, Flip 4, and Flip 3.

Notably, these foldable devices are getting the new security patch in the US. It is also worth noticing that all the devices are getting the update for their unlocked variants. However, on these smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting the update in Puerto Rico, which carries firmware version F926U1UEU3FWF2. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is receiving the update in the US with firmware version F936U1UES3CWG4.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are getting the update in the US with firmware versions F721U1UES3CWG4 and F711U1UES5FWG7, respectively. The latest update brings a new August 2023 security patch, which will more likely improve the internal functions of the devices.

Moreover, the latest August security patch includes a total of 85 fixes that mainly improve the security of the devices. In these, Samsung has also included 35 more fixes that significantly improve the functioning of the Galaxy devices.

Samsung’s popular flagships are not eligible for the One UI 6.0 Android 14 update

Samsung will soon release the One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy devices. It is expected that the company will introduce the beta program for all the flagship devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, so the company could drop it anytime.

With the latest update, users who own any of the foldable smartphones can easily update their device by following these steps:

  1. Go to the system settings.
  2. Scroll down to the software update menu and click on it.
  3. Now touch the Download and Install button.
  4. Wait until the search is finished.
  5. If a new update is available, hit the download button.

Recently, Samsung has started releasing the One UI 6.1 to Galaxy Tab S9 FE series devices. Initially, the update for these devices was spotted in South Korea and some parts of Europe, but now, with the gradual expansion, the company is now serving the update for the devices belonging to the US.
