Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4 and Galaxy A53 receiving April 2024 update on more US carriers

Samsung has already rolled out the April 2024 security patch update to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy A53 in the US, but the update was available for limited users. Now the update is available on more carriers.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices are spotted getting new updates on several carriers, including MetroPCS, Comcast, and Spectrum Mobile. Users can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers F936USQS4EXD1 and F721USQS4EXD1

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A53 is getting the firmware update with the firmware version number A536USQS9DXDA. It has been spotted on two carriers, including T-Mobile and MetroPCS, and is expected to be available on more carriers in the next few days.

The April 2024 update brings the latest security patches for the Galaxy devices. Going into details, the update has brought more than 40 fixes, and Google has added 27 patches that will improve the security of the Android OS. Meanwhile, Samsung has also added 17 more patches, which will exclusively bring more improvements for Galaxy devices.

Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A34 devices in Europe with the firmware version number A346BXXU6CXD5. With the latest update, the company hasn’t released the May 2024 security patch for the devices. The latest update is coming with a massive software package.

Samsung Galaxy S22 receives May 2024 security patch in Europe

Last week, Samsung initiated the May 2024 security patch with the Galaxy S24 series devices. Now,  it has started expanding the update to more devices, like the Galaxy S22 series.

Notably, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra devices are getting a May 2024 security patch with the firmware version numbers S901BXXSAEXE3, S906BXXSAEXE3, and S908BXXSAEXE3, respectively. As of writing, the update has been spotted in the European regions and is expected to be available in more regions in the next few days.

The May 2024 security patch for Galaxy S22 devices doesn’t bring any new features or changes, but it will surely bring some enhancements that will strengthen the security mechanisms of the Galaxy devices, and therefore it is coming in a small software package of 270.07 MB. Along with this, it may also bring some fixes for the issues that appeared in previous software updates.
