Samsung to Release Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Slim’ in October: No S-Pen, Limited Market

Published

on

A new Samsung Galaxy device named Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Slim’ is on the list of Korean giants to introduce late this year. This device will be thinner than the actual Galaxy Z Fold 6. Let’s take a closer look at what the new report is saying.

The new report says that the Korean giant is working on a new slimmer device that will be the second and thinner version of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, the slimmer version will arrive with limited availability and potentially miss some features. This comes as Samsung faces increased competition from other brands that are offering more innovative and advanced foldable devices.

The reason behind this new edition appears to be to stand as a strong competitor in the foldable market again. Since then, Samsung has lost its market lead. The fan community is eagerly waiting and excited about a rumored thinner, cheaper Fold 6, but Samsung seemed unsure about releasing it. Now a tipter on suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will be named the Samsung W25 in China. This means the device is coming to China; however, it is also rumored to be arriving in Korea under the prior branding.

He also hinted that the device will be lighter, thinner, and larger than the actual Galaxy Z Fold 6. This thinner variant will be released in October and does not support S-Pen.

For now, the brand is actively focusing on launching the sixth-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be available in new color

Samsung is all set to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in 2024 on July 10 in Paris. The biggest part of the event will be the next-generation foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. An Australian retailer has posted renders of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in each color variant. Let’s take a closer look at the renders.

However, the renders don’t offer any unique details of the phone, since the previous leaks and rumors have already revealed much more about both fold and flip devices. But the most noticeable part is the color options. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is available in yellow, and the other colors also look pretty. Similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the cover screen is surrounded by black bezels.

The giant has added a colored ring around the camera lenses to match the phone’s color; it seems pretty elegant. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a sharper and more angular design on full display. This new design gives it a classy and more professional look in a way that we have seen on the Galaxy S24 Utlra. Apart from this, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 will feature a titanium frame, the same as the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The brand will introduce these foldables at the launch event in Paris on July 10. Apart from the foldable, the brand will also debut more Galaxy products, including its ever-first smart ring, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. If you are interested, you can already reserve the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 and get a $50 credit.

Galaxy S25 Ultra to Feature Rounded Design Similar to Galaxy Note 7

Published

Samsung usually tries new and significant changes to give a new boost to the user experience; that’s exactly the case with the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra. It might bring about a big design change.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will take the floor in early 2025, as expected. Similar to its predecessor series, the Galaxy S25 will also include three variants: the Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The new report says that the Ultra variant of the Galaxy S25 series could bring a major design change.

If the report is to be believed, the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra will not appear in sharper corners. This is in contrast to the recently launched Galaxy S24 Ultra. The reason behind this major change seems to be that the sharper corners of the current Galaxy S24 can dig into the users’ palms and cause inconvenience if the device is not covered with a case. However, it is not exactly clear yet whether the entire corner is curved or if its edges are more rounded.

Samsung has yet to announce any announcement regarding the Galaxy S25 series, but it seems that the giant will dedicatedly overcome the shortcomings of the Galaxy S24 Ultra with the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra. Following the previous launching schedules, it’s expected that the device will be announced sometime early next year. It is rumored that Samsung will upgrade the cameras massively with its next flagship phone. According to some reports, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP super-telephoto with 5x optical zoom. On the flip side, a 12 MP selfie camera could be housed.

It will be interesting to see what new novelties the upcoming Galaxy S25 series will bring.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Z Flip 6 Official Cases Leak Ahead of Launch

Samsung is all set to launch its next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. To boost the enthusiasm among fans, before the official launch of devices, update official cases.

Samsung has already confirmed that it will host the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, at which it will debut the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Buds 3 series, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Watch 7 series. Now the giant is showing off a new collection of images of its upcoming foldable accessories. A post on X shared by @MysteryLupin led to a PostImage gallery.

The new case for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is shown in blue, gray, and green in the new keyring case. There’s not much new here, but we do get a really good look at how the giant is adding vibrant color to the ring around the lenses on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. On the other side, Galaxy Z Fold 6 cases show us the updated aspect ratio of Samsung’s book-style foldable while also showing the new case models.

Noticeably, the Korean giant is releasing three new cases for the foldable phone:

  • A slim S Pen case
  • An upgraded grip case with a clear backplate
  • A unique case with both a built-in hand grip and a kickstand

The brand this time brings back a slim S Pen case, which hints there won’t be a built-in S Pen holder on the device itself. It also announces an updated grip case with a clear backplate for a decent and unique look. Apart from these two, there’s one more unique case coupled with both a built-in hand grip and kickstand, offering enhanced functionality even after the unusual design.

Noticeably, the brand could offer some of its official cases completely free with foldable pre-orders. Dedicatedly, you can expect the cost for these cases to be around $50–$80 at least. The pre-orders for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are open now on Samsung.com. With a $50 credit, you can save up to $1,500 on pre-reservation.
