Samsung One UI 7 Delay Could Hurt Its Legacy as Competitors Release Android 15 Beta Updates

Samsung is one of the active brands in terms of releasing software updates, whether they are regular security patches or major Android OS updates. But it’s losing its legacy since it’s more than enough late this time to release the Android 15 update.

Samsung is still struggling to even roll out the Android 15 beta, whereas its rivals, who were not even strong against it, are already running the Android 15 public beta. Vivo already released its Funtouch OS 15 public beta, and Nothing also released its Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.0.

Meanwhile, Samsung is not even ready to release the exact timeline to roll out the public beta. However, at the SDC24, it was announced that the One UI 7 beta version will be rolled out for developers by the end of this year. And surprisingly, the stable version is scheduled for next year; this means Galaxy devices are not getting any major Android OS updates this year. Now the new report says that Samsung confirmed that it will also roll out the One UI 7 public beta.

Samsung usually starts releasing its latest major Android OS beta updates sometime in August and a stable version sometime in early October. We are already driving in October; the year is about to end, and still, it has yet to release the Android 15 beta.

Leaks and rumors regarding the Android 15-based One UI 7 are continuously blowing in the market. Somewhere, this delay is effecting the brand’s legacy in the tech market against other brands.
