Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 spotted running Android 16-based One UI 8

Samsung remains to finish the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 worldwide; meanwhile, it has started testing the One UI 8 for this device.
Recently, it’s been reported that Samsung has paused the Android 15-based One UI 7 rollout due to a serious bug found in the recently stable build for Galaxy S24 smartphones. However, Samsung hasn’t released any official statement regarding this report yet.
Now a user, @Alfaturk16, on X shared a post, revealing that the international Galaxy Z Flip 6 model for India has received the Android 16-based One UI 8 update with the dedicated firmware version F741BXXU2CYD7 and the April 2025 security patch. Reportedly, the update is 3,160.19MB in size.

Noticeably, the changelog doesn’t include anything interesting, but it’s expected to offer many new features. It’s not officially clear, but the firmware seems to be an early build of One UI 8 that Samsung is rolling out to internal developers.
Recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 was spotted running One UI 8 on Geekbench, which hints that the coming foldable devices will run the latest Android 16 out of the box. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event sometime in July. All of these spottings suggest that Samsung will reveal Android 16 sooner than expected.
