Samsung to revamp app icons with One UI 8 Watch for Galaxy Watches

Samsung is working on the next major update for its Galaxy watches, One UI 8 Watch, which is anticipated to bring newly designed app icons.

Recently, it’s been reported that the Korean tech giant is planning to skip two major updates, including One UI 6.5 Watch and One UI 7 Watch, and will directly jump to the One UI 8 Watch update for its smartwatches, and the reason behind this is to match the One UI versioning with smartphones.

Now, a reliable tipster, @DevOfIpos, shared a post on X, leaked over seventeen newly designed app icons coming with One UI 8 Watch. Although apps have seemed to be inspired by One UI 7’s designed app icons.

According to the leaked icons, it seems that Samsung will offer flat, colorful, and minimalist app icons with a polished edge with One UI 8 Watch for a new experience on older Galaxy Watches. Apart from the revamped app icons, the tipster also revealed that Samsung will bring Gemini AI to its smartwatches along with the latest One UI 8 Watch update. This means that Samsung is all set to replace Google Assistant with Gemini AI on its Galaxy Watches.

However, Samsung has yet to reveal the newly designed app icons for its smartwatches coming with One UI 8 Watch, so it remains to be seen whether the leaked design will come into existence.
