Samsung News Replaces Samsung Free in Select Regions

Samsung Galaxy users have already started getting a new notice regarding the replacement of Samsung Free with Samsung News via the Members app.

The Korean tech firm offered a preloaded service called Samsung Free on Galaxy smartphones that helps to provide users with free access to a vast variety of content, for instance, live TV, news, games, and podcasts. The company dedicatedly designed this app to be a one-stop destination for entertainment and information accessible with a simple swipe on the home screen.

Now the company is looking forward to replacing the old Samsung Free app with the newly designed Samsung News app, which offers customized and curated news content. The app also offered tailored morning and evening briefings, top stories, and let you personalize news feeds by selecting preferred news sources and topics.

Samsung released a notice regarding this replacement and revealed that starting in July 2025, Samsung News will replace Samsung Free, helping you to stay informed with the latest headlines from several sources.

Noticeably, the Samsung News is only available in a few countries, including India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. However, the company hasn’t mentioned anything regarding the expansion of the app to more countries, so it remains to be seen whether it will make the Samsung News available widely.
