Recently, the popular tipster IceUniverse spotted the eye-stealer Galaxy S23 Ultra device in the testing firmware with the popular 2x portrait mode. Specifically, this mode has been shown in the screenshot of the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s camera application. Here, we can see the 2x option in the portrait camera mode along with the already available 1x and 3x options. However, currently, the company is testing the firmware internally only.

If you are unaware, this 2x option uses the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200MP HP2 sensor’s 50MP crop. Afterward, the captured image will be converted to a 12MP image in post-processing. Notably, as the Galaxy S23 Ultra already has the most advanced camera sensor, this new feature will take its photographic abilities to the next level.
