Galaxy S21 Series get July 2023 security update

After starting the release of the July update for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22, Samsung has also started releasing a similar update for its two-year-old flagship smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S21 (including Galaxy S21, S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra) is one of the best flagship smartphones of 2021; born a bit like an outsider, saw and considered that the predecessor Galaxy S20 was even better, but then matured over time, update after update.

One UI 6.0 internal testing already started for several Galaxy smartphones

The firmware, currently being distributed from some Brazil, is marked with the code G99*BXXS9EWF3, and we imagine it will arrive soon even on models sold by our parts (the firmware code should differ in the initial part to implement the security patches of July 2023.

This security update has several fixes, including those released directly by Google and Galaxy devices. There are 90 fixes, including 52 from Google and 38 from Samsung.

To check the availability of the update and possibly proceed with download and installation on your Samsung Galaxy S21 Series, simply follow the path “Settings > Software Update” and, in the case of reporting the update, click on “Download and Install”.
