Samsung has initiated the rollout of the most recent security patches for select devices. While numerous smartphones have already received the update, many others are still awaiting its arrival.

Last week, Samsung began the rollout of the July 2023 security update for the Galaxy S23 series. Initially, the update was only accessible for carrier-locked and unlocked models of phones within the United States and Canada. However, the South Korean company has now expanded the update’s availability to the European market.

The Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are receiving the July 2023 security patches in several European countries; the update brings the device firmware to versions S918BXXS3AWF7, S918BOXM3AWF7, S918BXXS3AWF7, respectively.

A few days back, the company provided a comprehensive breakdown of the fixes included in the latest security update. With the July 2023 patches, Samsung has successfully addressed a whopping 90 security vulnerabilities. Out of these, 52 patches were directly released by Google, making them applicable to all Android devices. Samsung specifically developed the remaining 38 fixes for Galaxy devices.
