Samsung has updated several Galaxy devices with One UI 5.1.1 and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is also one of them, but due to the limitations of the server, the company hasn’t expanded the update to all the regions, so now the remaining devices are getting a new update.

Notably, One UI 5.1.1 is rolling out on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Canada. Users who own the device can identify the update by the firmware version number F916WVLU4KWH7. The latest update is also coming with a new security patch in the form of an August 2023 update.

OneUI 5.1.1 brings a lot of new features

One UI 5.1.1 is the latest update that comes with a lot of new enhancements under different system-level apps, including Taskbar, Flex mode, Quick Share, Samsung Health, Camera, Gallery, and many more.

The update also brought some more new features, like drag and drop with two hands. It works exactly like a PC, where you use the cursor to move the file to another folder by drag and drop, and now you can do the exact same thing with your hands. Now you can continue to use your device while charging another device wirelessly. Similar to these, there are many other features that came with the new update.

The One UII 5.1.1 is now live for the Canadian units of Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphones. Users should start getting notifications regarding the update availability, but in case you don’t get the update notification yet, you can also manually check it by going to the system software settings from the main system settings.

One UI 5.1.1 Update Changelog:

Samsung is on the streak to distribute the May 2024 security patch update for eligible devices. Moving forward for the session, the company has rolled out the latest security patch for the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy S21 FE devices.

Notably, with the latest development, the Korean giant is distributing the May 2024 security patch update to the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy S21 FE in Europe and South Korea. More specifically, the update for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra devices reached South Korea and Europe with the firmware version numbers G98*NKSS4IXE4 and G98*BXXSKHXEA, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 FE is getting an update in Europe with the firmware version number G990B2XXU7GXE1. The latest update doesn’t bring any significant changelog; it is just a standard changelog that only describes some repeated terms like improving device reliability and stability. The update is coming in a software package of nearly 300 MB, which indicates that the company will not make any significant changes for the devices.

But if you are having any issues while using the devices, then it may be that the game has changed for your devices. According to the official documentation, the latest update will improve the internal functioning of the devices, but it will not be visibly seen on the devices.

If you want to install the latest update on your device, then you can check the update from the system settings manually, or you can also go directly by touching on the notification that appears to alert you about the update availability.
