Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 Get September 2023 Security Patch in the US

Samsung is constantly expanding the September update for its eligible Galaxy devices in the US. Earlier, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 had already gotten the update in some European countries. Now, the Korean giant has rolled out the update for the locked and unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

The carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are getting the new update on several carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and US Cellular. Users can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers F946USQS1AWI1 and F731USQS1AWI1, respectively.

Meanwhile, the unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are getting the new update with firmware version numbers F946U1UES1AWI1 and F731USQS1AWI1 respectively. Both of the variants are receiving the same September 2023 security patch, which doesn’t bring any innovation or improvements.

Moreover, the September 2023 update brings 62 patches that improve the functionality of the devices. The update may also bring some improvements for the devices that make them more stable and enhance the user experience.
