Samsung has already released the November 2023 security patch for most of its Galaxy devices. However, since there are numerous devices available in different lineups, some eligible devices have yet to receive the update. One such device is the Galaxy XCover6 Pro, which has now started receiving the latest update.

The Galaxy XCover6 Pro is one of the rugged series devices that was introduced back in 2022. It came with Android 12 preinstalled and later acquired Android 13. As it is eligible to get up to three major software updates, it will soon get Android 14 and also get one more Android support in the future. Along with major updates, the device will also receive minor software updates as security patches.

According to the official documentation,the latest update for both devices comes with a November 2023 security patch. It doesn’t give any new features, but it comes with a fresh set of new fixes for known bugs. According to the official documentation, the latest update for Galaxy devices includes more than a dozen patches, which are included by Google and Samsung. It is worth noticing that the patches included by Google are available on all Android devices, but the ones included by Samsung will be available on only Galaxy devices.

Samsung has rapidly distributed the April 2024 security patch update for its eligible Galaxy devices, but due to the long list of devices, the company is still not successful in distributing the update to all the devices at the same time. Now, with the latest development, Samsung has started rolling out the update for the Galaxy Tab A8.

Notably, the Galaxy Tab A8 series has started receiving the April 2024 security patch update in South Korea and in several European countries. More specifically, the Wi-Fi and LTE models of the Galaxy Tab A8 are getting the update with the firmware version numbers X200XXS3DXD5 and X205NKOS3DXD5, respectively, in South Korea. Meanwhile, the European units of the Galaxy Tab A8 LTE and Galaxy Tab A8 Wi-Fi are getting the update with the firmware version numbers X205XXS3DXD5 and X200XXS3DXD5, respectively.

The April 2024 security patch update doesn’t bring any new features or changes for your tablet, but it will provide you with a bunch of security enhancements that will surely provide some extra protection against external threats.
