The Galaxy S23 gets the December 2023 security update and starts in the US

The December 2023 security update is now available for the Galaxy S23 in the US. Users who own carrier-locked Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S911USQS2BWKA, S916USQS2BWKA and S918USQS2BWKA respectively. The update currently available on US Cellular network and will soon expand other carriers and unlocked units.
The December 2023 security patch is part of the latest Android maintenance program, so do not expect much from the update. It is coming with several new fixes for the bugs that were found in the last software update. According to the official documentation, the latest firmware includes more than 60 fixes; from them, 50 patches were added by Google, while Samsung has also included 16 more patches that will enhance the Galaxy ecosystem.
