Samsung rolls out the December 2023 update for more Galaxy S23 units

Samsung has started expanding the December 2023 update to more countries, and it will launch Galaxy S23 devices. Previously,  these devices received the update in the US, but now, moving forward, the company is rolling out the update in the Middle Eastern countries.

The latest update for Galaxy S23 devices is currently spotted in several countries, including Turkey and the UAE, and is expected to be available in more countries in the coming days. Users who own the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S911BXXS3BWKC, S916BXXS3BWKC, and S918BXXS3BWKC, respectively.

According to the changelog, there is no specific description about the update; all it says is that the new update will improve the device’s stability and may contain some new or enhanced features, and the security of the device will also improve, so we can say that it will not provide any significant updates, but there will be some enhancements done under the device for security improvements.

Going into detail about the security improvements, we learn that there will be 66 patches introduced by Google and Samsung to fix the device security vulnerability issues. More specifically, there are 50 fixes added under the Android OS and 16 issues patched by Samsung for Galaxy devices exclusively.

To do that, just follow these steps: Go to the software update menu from the main system settings, then tap on the download and install option. Wait for some time until it checks for new updates, then tap the download button.
