Samsung Galaxy S20 back in 2020, the devices came with Android 10, and as the device was promised to get four years of software update support, it has received three major updates and also got the security patch on monthly patches constantly for three years, but as it has reached its last year, the Korean giant has degraded its update eligibility to quarterly basis, which means the device will get a maximum four patch updates annually.

The last update for the Galaxy S20 series device, which is coming monthly, the March 2024 security patch update, was spotted in the US on the Verizon network. So users who own the locked units of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware G981VSQS8HXC1, G986VSQS8HXC1, and G988VSQS8HXC1, respectively.

The March 2024 update is one of the standard security patches, which will not provide some security-related enhancements. In detail, the March 2024 security brings more than 40 fixes, where Google addressed 37 security vulnerability issues for improving the working of the Android OS. Along with these, Samsung has also included nine more patches, which will improve the overall security of the devices.

Moreover, the update also improves the overall performance and stability of the device by fixing some issues that are slowing down the device, so if you want to improve the content performance of your device, then you should always keep your device up to date. To update your Galaxy device to the latest version, you just have to go to the software update menu through the system, then settings, and tap on the download button.
