Android Auto new bug forcing users to use Google Maps with Voice commands

Google Maps is a widely successful application for navigating Android devices. There are many applications to navigate and reach the destination from journey platforms like Waze. Android Auto is one of the access command technologies installed in automobiles that helps navigate the map. Recently, it has been seen that Android users are troubled by unauthorized voice commands for other installed navigation applications. It is detected that command access is directly navigating to Google Maps instead of verifying the installed other navigation application.

According to some reports, a new bug in Android Auto is forcing users to use the feature of Google Maps only with voice commands, even if they recently used Waze or their navigation application.

This issue has appeared over the past week for some users. Whether Waze or other Android Auto navigation apps are installed, when users give any command to Google Assistant, it directly uses Google Maps for any navigation.

However, Google has now resolved the issue via a new update of the Google application. The latest iteration of the application, version 15.13.46.28, has restored broken functionality. If you are also getting issues, then you should check for the new update of the Google app. To do that, just go to the Google Play Store and search for the Google app. If the update button is on, then tap on it.

For your information, Android Auto is one of the best car accessories because it allows users to use all the important functionality of smartphones directly through the car display. So if you want to take full advantage of the entertainment system, then you should always keep Android Auto up to date.
