Samsung Software Update App Receives Update
Transparently, Samsung hardly delays rolling out software updates on time, whether they are major Android-based One UI updates or general security patches. Now, it is delivering a new update to the Software Update App through the Galaxy Store. Let’s take a closer look at the new changes.
Samsung’s Software Update application keeps track of updates for the Samsung application on Galaxy devices, plus it informs the user about the new update or when an update is available. Now it is getting a new update along with the firmware version number 4.2.39. The installation package for this latest update seems pretty tiny—just 10MB.
However, the Korean giants have not unveiled enough details regarding this update, not even the changelog. A new software update for the latest Galaxy S24 series introduces the wording “Android Version” to the software update display, and this is the only change that gets noticed in the overall update.
A new update for the Software Update app has been released, so interested parties can easily get it through the Galaxy Store, despite the presence of One UI 6.1 on board. Apart from this, Samsung adopted a seamless update pattern, starting with its recently launched mid-range device, the Galaxy A55. On the other hand, Samsung has already rolled out the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update for the 2023 flagship device and will soon expand this update to the rest of the eligible Galaxy devices.
