Samsung pushes April 2024 security patch to the Galaxy S21 Series in more regions
The Samsung Galaxy S21 is one of those smartphones that frequently falls behind in terms of update availability; even after belonging to the flagship category, it got ignored when any new update arrived. However, this time it is getting an update on the ideal timing.
Earlier, the device had already grabbed the update in Europe; now, with the new expansion, the Latin American countries have started getting the April 2024 security patch update. Users who own the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G991BXXSAFXCQ, G996BXXSAFXCQ, and G998BXXSAFXCQ, respectively.
The latest update for the Galaxy S21 doesn’t bring any new features for the devices; it is a normal security patch that will bring some internal changes that will enhance the overall security of the devices.
According to the official documentation, the April 2024 update consists of more than 40 fixes that directly or indirectly improve the security of your devices. In the 40 fixes, there are 27 fixes included by Google, and 17 security vulnerabilities are addressed by Samsung. Along with these, it will also provide some improvements to enhance the overall working of the devices.
If you are using the Galaxy S21 series device in Brazil, then you can now update your device to the latest version by simply going to the software update menu from the system settings. Don’t worry if you don’t receive the update on your device; you have to wait for some time until the company expands it to all the units.
