Samsung Users Received One UI 6.1 Update Early Receivers Still Facing Battery Drain

Android 14-based OneUI 6.1 turns shocking instead of rocking for some users! After installing the One UI 6.1 update, some Galaxy S23 and foldable owners are constantly reporting the battery drain issue and several other issues.
Samsung delivered the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 globally in late March, along with dozens of improvements and noteworthy Galaxy AI features; however, the package isn’t closed here since it also brings high battery drain and several other issues.
However, temporary battery drainage after installing the major OS update is quite normal since various system optimizations cause battery drain issues, and after optimization, it settles down. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the UI 6.1 update on the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices.
After installing the update, users complained about high battery drain and other inconvenient issues. It’s been a month, and users are still facing the battery drainage issue. Users reported this issue on various online platforms, like Reddit, but Samsung has yet to acknowledge it.
Most of the users previously claimed issues with fingerprint recognition. The giant quickly acknowledged the former issue and released a fix in April. Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 users are still facing high battery drain, the report says.
However, it is not exactly clear yet whether Samsung is aware of these reports and working on finding the root cause of the problem or not. At the moment, to avoid high battery drain, you can disable power-hungry extra features such as AOD. It is expected that soon the brand will roll out a fix for this inconvenient problem.
