Android Auto v12.8 Stable Update Now Rolling Out

It’s impressive how regularly Google offers the latest updates to Android Auto, which is the smart intelligence that significantly connects Android smartphones to the car’s infotainment system, allowing users to just focus on the road while driving by eliminating all the other distractions. Meanwhile, Android Auto has started receiving a new update.

Latest Android Auto v12.8 Stable Update Begins Rolling Out to All Users

Google brings the latest update to Android Auto, carrying the 12.8 version. This time, it’s the stable version, while the company already provided the beta version a few days ago.

However, as always, Google has not mentioned a dedicated changelog regarding the latest update, but it’s expected that the newer update brings the implementation of some bug fixes and other relevant improvements to offer a more stable and smooth experience to the users.

Meanwhile, to recall, Android Auto never lets users play their local media files directly on the car’s unit, and in order to access their local music, users need to exit Android Auto and head back to the car’s stereo to listen to their local media playback, while Google seems to be working to resolve this issue, and it was spotted with the same 12.8 version of Android Auto.

As Google has not mentioned any new features or changes, thus this new stable update to Android Auto is expected to implement the local media playback function within the app in the near future.
