Android Auto starts receiving 12.9 beta update

Android Auto is one of Google’s most useful and intelligent services, significantly designed to allow people to just focus on the road while driving to avoid any distractions caused by smartphones. It’s the perfect driving assistant that mirrors the user’s Android device on the car’s infotainment system. Meanwhile, this smart service is getting yet another update, but this time it’s the new 12.9 Beta.
Google has begun rolling out the newest beta version for Android Auto, carrying the 12.9 beta software version.
To recall, a couple of days ago, Android Auto owners received the stable 12.8 version that eventually adds some additional improvements, enhancements, and bug fixes to the overall functionality, while the newer 12.9 beta version of Android Auto, perhaps, doesn’t contain any detailed changelog as usual, and thus, it’s difficult to claim what exactly has been added with the update.
However, Google has probably implemented several key improvements to the overall functionality of the platform, as well as resolving certain issues and bringing some minor enhancements that were left in the previous update. In addition, the availability of another beta version significantly suggests that Google has started working on another version of Android Auto in order to provide a more smooth experience to the users.
Moreover, since the latest Android Auto beta 12.9 version is now available to download, the stable stable version could follow anytime soon. In addition, as spotted with the previous 12.8 beta version, Google is working on bringing the local media playback functionality to Android Auto.
