Google Maps on Android Auto allows users to preview their route and next step

Google always ensures to make life a little easier by incorporating several convenient features within Android Auto, which is its smart service that seamlessly mirrors the Android devices to the car’s infotainment system to avoid distractions while driving; one of its features is the integration of Google Maps. Now, Android Auto users can preview their route.

It’s been a long time since Android Auto has the integration of Google Maps, but it lacked a few features. Though Google has integrated the long-awaited lane guidance UI within the Google Maps on Android Auto, now users can easily preview their route and the next step.

A user on Reddit has shared a video that significantly shows a new trick to make the navigations in Google Maps on Android Auto more useful and convenient.

This trick significantly demonstrates that while navigating the directions in Google Maps on Android Auto, you can preview your route when setting up the navigations, while once the navigations begin, you can even swipe on the direction card in order to see the next step on your entire route.

Additionally, when a user swipes through the direction card to view the next step on the route, Google Maps will automatically be directed to the exact point on the map that the direction card is showing and will turn from green to gray in color.

Moreover, this feature is something that the majority of the Android Auto users don’t know about, while Google has always been passionately working on several features and enhancements that will significantly offer a more useful and convenient experience to the users.
