Samsung Starts rolling out October 2024 Security Update for Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 in Europe
Samsung has been at the top, consistently rolling out the monthly security patch for its Galaxy ecosystem. With the Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, A55, and A13 already enjoying the update, Samsung adds another device, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5, to the October 2024 security update list, which is currently receiving the update in Europe.
The October 2024 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 is currently available in some European countries.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with F731BXXS3DXI9 firmware versions, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 carries the F946BXXS3DXI9 version number. The October 2024 security update indicates that there are only minor security and bug fixes with no other changes or new features added. Meanwhile, there are a few key improvements to the device’s overall security that help users have a more safe and secure environment.
Additionally, the update further marks the involvement of various relevant enhancements to the overall functionality, adds optimizations to the device’s performance, improves the phone’s stability, resolves some known issues, and fixes certain bugs to offer a stable, smooth, and optimized firmware experience to the Galaxy users.
Surprisingly, it was the Galaxy S24 FE that received the October 2024 security update first, followed by the Galaxy S24 series and others; Samsung doesn’t follow any significant pattern of providing software updates, though. Henceforth, the new security patch will follow several other Galaxy mid-tier and low-end devices soon in the future.
