Finally, Google released the stable Android 15 with a countable feature called satellite messaging for a few Android smartphones. Meanwhile, Samsung is also gearing up for Android 15-based One UI 7. It could integrate the satellite connectivity with the coming update.
The satellite messaging feature lets you send and receive messages via satellite, even in areas with no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. This feature is especially beneficial in emergencies or remote locations with limited network connectivity. Noticeably, Satellite messaging in Android 15 is available for users with compatible devices, like the Google Pixel series, and particular carriers like T-Mobile.
T-Mobile users running eligible devices with the latest Android 15 OS can easily access the new satellite messaging feature by navigating to Settings >> Network & Internet >> SIMs >> T-Mobile and clicking on Satellite Messaging.
Conversely, Samsung is struggling with Android 15-based One UI 7. It is expected to introduce satellite connectivity with the coming One UI 7. Previously, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra supports Satellite Communication.
it will introduce the stable Android 15 on the coming Galaxy S25 series. It was also reported that Verizon is set to bring the Satellite SOS feature to Samsung Galaxy smartphones. It will be interesting to see whether Samsung will offer Satellite Communication with Android 15.
