One UI 7 May Restore Good Lock RegiStar’s Settings Shortcut Icon
Samsung is passionately working on the next major software update, One UI 7, while several changes and previews in action are its proof. Meanwhile, a new report confirms that Samsung plans to restore the Settings Shortcut icon of Registar in One UI 7, following leaks that suggested several upgrades to some Galaxy apps.
Originally, the Settings shortcut icon that used to appear at the bottom right corner of the icon on the home screen created via Registar looks extremely different from the normal Settings app icon. However, users have reported that the Registar-created Settings Shortcut app icon has now vanished.
Alternatively, the Settings app shortcut icon has disappeared from the bottom right of the icon, though; it’s still there in the Edge panel settings, which significantly concludes that the Settings shortcut has not disappeared completely but it’s missing from the bottom right corner.
Samsung has recognized the issue and expressed its intention to incorporate a small settings app icon into shortcut icons generated by Registar. This will enable them to identify the icon’s origin, thereby enhancing the user experience.
Although there’s no word on the exact timeline of the restoration of the Settings shortcut icon created by Good Lock’s Registar, still it’s highly expected that Samsung will probably be adding the support of the Settings shortcut icon in One UI 7 via the Registar app update.
Lastly, Samsung is currently working on the One UI 7 version, as several changes and enhancements are still undergoing; a lot of interesting changes are awaited. Given that, from icon revamps to tweaks to Good Lock and other Galaxy apps, Samsung’s One UI 7 is considered to be the major One UI upgrade, with a wide range of features and improvements coming alongside.
