Samsung’s sixth-gen foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, were the first models to get upgraded to the December 2024 security update in South Korea. Now, with the expansion of the latest security patch to more regions, Samsung has started delivering the firmware for the foldables in the US.
The December update is now available for the Verizon carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 and can be identified with the F956USQS2AXKF and F741USQS2AXKF version numbers.
While the new December 2024 security update is a minor bug and security-fixing patch and doesn’t mention any new features or changes, it significantly packs several improvements to the system security while also fixing the critical and high-level vulnerabilities for offering a more secure user experience and protecting the device against potential threats and harms.
Alternatively, the update further adds stability and reliability to the overall system behavior, brings various performance optimizations, applies the latest security patches, and delivers improved functionality that will lead to a better, stable, smooth, and efficient user experience.
Moreover, Samsung is currently rolling out the December update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models in the US, while the update is expected to reach other eligible countries in the near future.
