Samsung expands December 2024 Security Update for Galaxy S23 more widely across the US

Samsung has already started rolling out the December 2024 security update for Galaxy S23 series in the United States, however, the rollout was only limited to the US Cellular-locked models. Now, it is expanding the patch to even more users across the region.

The December 2024 security update is now available for both the carrier-locked and unlocked Galaxy S23 series owners in the US. For carrier-locked Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, the update has the S911USQS5CXJXS916USQS5CXJX, and S918USQS5CXJX build numbers.

Alternatively, the unlocked S23 models can be identified by the S911U1UES5CXJXS916U1UES5CXJX, and S918U1UES5CXJX version numbers.

The Android package for the December month significantly mentions various fixes for all the security vulnerabilities and other relevant bugs addressed in the previous version while also adding several improvements to the system security that help users to have a more secure experience and performance and protect the device against external threats.

Alternatively, the update further adds stability to the system behavior, bringing key performance optimizations for an efficient and effortless functionality. It also applies the latest security patches and delivers much-enhanced features that eventually lead to a much-improved, smooth, and stable user experience.
