The Samsung Galaxy S25 brings a new revolution in the tech industry with its great specifications, innovative features, and decent design. Here we are counting a few Galaxy S25 novelties that you should know. 

The lineup includes the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, powered with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, running Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box. Samsung has promised a long-lasting seven years of software support. Let’s take a closer look at the Galaxy S25. 

Galaxy S25 Series Powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset 

The Snapdragon 8 Elite offers a 40% increase in performance on the NPU side, 37% on the CPU side, and 30% on the GPU side as compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. These capabilities enable the new smartphones to process AI operations directly locally, including those previously based on the cloud.

The “for Galaxy” variant offers higher clocks, peaking at 4.47GHz, a roughly 150MHz increase as compared to the “regular” version. The brand has integrated proprietary innovations into the chipset for the first time. 

There are several key features of Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 series, including higher clock speeds, ProScaler for enhancing image details, a larger vapor chamber, improved thermal interface material for better heat dissipation, and Spatio-Temporal Filter (STF) support. 

There’s a Galaxy S25 Ultra with 16GB RAM, But It’s Limited to Some Markets

Samsung offered 12GB of RAM as a standard memory variant for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. 

However, Samsung also offered 16GB of RAM for the Galaxy S25 Ultra but made it available only in selected markets, including China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Noticeably, the 16GB of RAM variant is coupled with 1TB of internal storage. It is unclear whether Samsung will expand the availability of this exclusive variant.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Makes Gemini Live Even More Useful

Samsung integrates Google’s Gemini AI assistant seamlessly with the Galaxy S25 series and also replaces its dedicated virtual voice assistant Bixby with Gemini AI. The series maintains the traditional button layout; for instance, press and hold the power button to launch Gemini, forgoing dedicated buttons for virtual assistants or camera functions. The series features Gemini extensions for Samsung apps, including Calendar, Notes, Reminders, and Clock, enabling direct AI assistance within these applications.

Samsung’s Renewed RAW Photo Editor

The Galaxy S25 features upgraded capabilities, including a 100x super zoom, enhanced Nightograph, video recording with 10-bit HDR, a log function, and an audio eraser.

Samsung with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series introduces an enhanced RAW photo editor with more advanced editing tools, such as exposure, contrast, saturation, and noise reduction controls. It’s expected that soon with the One UI 7 update, Samsung will expand these features on older Galaxy devices. 

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Can See Battery Health and Cycle Count

Samsung Galaxy S25 features the same battery package as its predecessor but includes enhanced battery settings, including detailed battery statistics that showcase detailed battery health information, for instance, battery health percentage, charging cycle count, and the smartphone’s manufacturing and first use dates.

Galaxy Club for Galaxy S25 Series 

Galaxy Club offers a new flexible subscription model designed to make it more convenient to own and update Galaxy devices.

You can join the upgrade program for $8.33 per month with the Galaxy S25 Ultra or Galaxy S25+, or $6.20 per month with the Galaxy S25. It allows users to upgrade to the latest Galaxy model after 12 months. Samsung offers a 50% trade-in credit for the latest Galaxy devices.

For the Galaxy S25, the subscription costs $8.33 per month, and once 12 months are completed, users receive a $649.99 trade-in credit for the next Galaxy model. This means that the actual savings would be around $550m; however, the integration of a year of Samsung Care+, which would normally cost around $13/month,.
