Samsung pushes May 2025 update to Galaxy A56 and A36 with Gemini shortcut

Samsung Galaxy S25: Its current S series models are fully packed with a wide range of features and Galaxy AI upgrades, one of which has started making its way to the Galaxy A series models with the latest software update.

The latest One UI 7 update that runs Android 15 over, brought about a major upgrade for the Galaxy A series devices within the Galaxy AI features under the head  Awesome Intelligence, including Gemini on top.

Well, Samsung has officially announced the Gemini integration to arrive in a few selected Galaxy A series devices, allowing models to access the digital assistant by holding the side button just like the S25 series and now, Gemini is already hitting Galaxy A56 and A36 models via a new update.

Meanwhile, the new software update for the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 that brings the Gemini integration has been spotted with build numbers A566BXXU3AYDK and A366BXXU2AYD8, respectively. The update is currently available in Malaysia, and wider availability is expected shortly.

At the same time, the changelog lists some major changes that happened with the latest update. Since it brings the Gemini integration, the A series devices will now have the capability to access Gemini by pressing and holding the side button. This also provides seamless access to apps such as Calendar, Notes, Reminder, and Clock due to the integration of Gemini.

It’s noticeable that the latest update for the Galaxy A56 integrates the new May security patch, while the Galaxy A36 comes with April security patch. This eventually focuses on improving the device’s security and core functionality
