The search engine giant Google has recently launched the Developer Preview of this year’s major novelty, Android 14. However, the Developer Preview of this new Android version is out of reach of Galaxy phones because it has been launched for Pixel devices only. Wherever it reaches the Galaxy devices, it will come with the upcoming One UI 6, and the recently-launched Galaxy S23 series will be the first one to get it.

Informatively, other manufacturers’ devices will get Android 14, along with their custom UI, after its final release, when it will be available for AOSP. In the case of Samsung, as their devices are currently running on the most recent One UI 5 (based on Android 13), the next will be One UI 6, which will be based on Android 14. Samsung will provide Android 14 with One UI 6 as a Beta update first and then will move to the stable version.

You must be wondering when you, the Galaxy user, will get this Android 14 + One UI 6 update to experience it in real aspects. So, let us inform you; the Beta rollout may start by July or August. Now another question appears, which device will first get it? So, the answer is crystal clear, the Galaxy S23 series because Samsung rolls out every major update to its recent flagship first. The same series will also be the first to get its stable update too.

For information, both of these updates- Android 14 and One UI 6 will have their own novelties, and their incredible combination can be seen in our Galaxy devices, which will deliver an even better and enhanced mobile experience.

Finally, Samsung started distributing the waiting One UI 6.1 update to more Galaxy flagship devices that debuted in 2021 and 2022. Now a total of 19 Galaxy devices have gotten their Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update.

Samsung has added new devices to the list of One UI 6.1, which are as follows:

  • Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Flip 3.

The Galaxy S22 series, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, is on the list of devices getting One UI 6.1, but it appears that Samsung may have delayed the rollout due to errors a few users have faced after updating their smartphones.

It is reported that the rollout was paused because some Galaxy S22 units may fail to boot or unlock after the update has been installed. However, users on the Samsung Community forums in Korea, the only market where One UI 6.1 has been released for now, don’t appear to have run into issues themselves.

However, Samsung has yet to officially confirm that it has paused the rollout and even acknowledged any issues, so at the moment, it’s not exactly confirmed that the update has been taken off the air. The Galaxy S22 series owners who didn’t get the One UI 6.1 update yet might want to wait for more details to come out before proceeding with the installation.

If the users are afraid of the issue and want to avoid the risk, they might consider waiting until the Korean giant fixes these problems before installing the update.

The wait is over here! Samsung is rolling out the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update to more high-end Galaxy smartphones and foldable phones.

Initially, the Korean giant introduced the One UI 6.1 on the Galaxy S24 series out of the box and later expanded it to a few flagship devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, the fifth generation of the Galaxy foldable, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. After that, the brand promised to provide an update soon for the 2022 flagship Galaxy devices.

The Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update is quite awaited since it brought a mesmerizing novelty called ‘Galaxy AI’, a power package of generative AI features, including chat assistants, generative wallpapers, note assistants, photo editing, live translation calls, and more.

Samsung debuted Galaxy AI features exclusive to the Galaxy S24, but then, as per the convenience and expectations of flagship device owners, the brand expanded the availability of generative AI features, except for a few features such as instant slow-mo. Since this requires a high-end processor, all the devices are not eligible to handle these features flawlessly.

Now that the brand has added some more devices to the One UI 6.1 update list, here’s the list. Check whether your device is on the list or not

Galaxy S series

Galaxy Foldable & Tablet

Except for the Galaxy S21, the rest of the devices mentioned in the list get the Galaxy AI features, whereas the Galaxy S21 only gets the Circle to Search feature.
