Samsung Confirms One UI 6.1 Release Date Along With The List Of Devices
Samsung ended the wait by confirming the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 release date for some Galaxy smartphones.
Samsung debuted its latest software version, One UI 6.1, based on Android 14 on the Galaxy S24 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event back in January plus also announced that it will soon make this One UI 6.1 available to its older Galaxy smartphones by the end of the second quarter of 2024.
Owners of old Galaxy smartphones eagerly waited for this update, and finally, the wait was over. Samsung confirmed that it will start rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to selected older flagship Galaxy smartphones before next month.
This is being speculated as Samsung, in its press release, confirmed that the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 will be released at the end of March 2024 and reveal the list of the following smartphones and tablets, which are as follows –
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23+
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Tab S9

Since One UI 6.1 is the latest major update, it will bring new features, capabilities, compatibility, and improvements. The giants also confirmed that this update will bring some of the recently introduced Galaxy AI features, which are as follows –
- Circle to search
- Note Assist (for Samsung Notes)
- Generative AI-powered image and video editing
- Real-time language translation while calls and messages
Apart from all this, the Korean firm is also promoting its older flagship smartphones, which are eligible for the One UI 6.1 update along with AI features. Interestingly, anyone who purchases any of the Galaxy devices mentioned above will get the Galaxy SmartTag 2 for free from March 15 to March 30.
Similarly, one who purchases the Galaxy Z Flip 5 during the mentioned period will get the Flip Suitcase and a screen protector for free.
Customers from South Korea will get up to 70% off on official accessories if they purchase a Galaxy Tab S9 series tablet during the promotion time. These accessories include the S Pen Creator Edition, Lami Alstar S Pen, Keyboard Book Cover, and Smart Book Cover.

Samsung has recently debuted its two smartphones, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A35; the Galaxy A35 5G smartphone is powered by Exynos 1380 chipset. From this perspective, Galaxy M35 5G could be a variant of Galaxy A35.
At the moment, no specs and features of the device have been revealed or leaked. Still, since Galaxy M series smartphones usually have a bit higher battery power of at least 6000mAh, the forthcoming Galaxy M35 5G smartphone also arrives with the same battery power.

Verizon has rolled out the March 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 devices. Earlier, these devices had received the same update outside the US, but now they are gradually expanding to the US.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are spotted getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F926USQS5HXBD and F711USQS6HXBD, respectively. It is worth noticing the update is currently available for the devices locked to Verizon, but it will soon be available on more carriers.
