May 2024 security update is live for Galaxy A15 5G in the US

Samsung introduced the Galaxy A15 5G back in 2023. It comes with Android 14 and One UI 6.0 preinstalled. Recently,  the device grabbed the One UI 6.1 update, which brought a lot of new features, and with the continuation of the update, the device is now getting a new May 2024 security patch update in the US.

Users who own the Galaxy A15 5G in the US can now install the latest security patch on their device. More specifically, the Galaxy A15 5G is spotted getting the update on both locked and unlocked variants with the firmware version numbers A156USQS2BXE5 and A156U1UES2BXE5, respectively. As of writing, the device is spotted on T-Mobile, Metro PCS, and US Cellular.

The May 2024 security patch aims to provide some enhancements under different system applications to strengthen the overall security mechanisms of the devices. According to the official documentation, the update will address more than 50 fixes to enhance the overall performance and stability of the device.

It is also worth noticing that this is the first update to arrive after the One UI 6.1 feature installation, so it is expected that the company may apply some optimization to the feature that allows the user to get more enhancements for the devices.

If you are using the Galaxy A15 in the US, then you can now take advantage of the new feature by checking the update from the software update through system settings. If the update hasn’t arrived on your device yet, then wait for some time, as it may take time to reach all the units.

Samsung Releases June 2024 Security Patch for Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 in the USA

Last week, Verizon locked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have already received the June 2024 security patch update in the US. Now the update is available on more carriers as well as the update is also available for the unlocked units.

Notably, with the latest development, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are spotted getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F926USQS6IXF2 and F711USQS7IXF2, respectively. The update is now live on T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Comcast, and Spectrum Mobile. In the latest update, you will not see any significant changes but a security patch. This update will improve the overall security of the devices.

Meanwhile, the unlocked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 can be verified via these firmware version numbers, F926U1UES6IXF1 and F711U1UES7IXF1, respectively.

Galaxy A53 gets June 2024 security update in Europe

Samsung has introduced the June 2024 security update to many Galaxy devices belonging to different series, including the Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series. Now that it has started rolling out the update for the Galaxy A series devices, the company has initiated the distribution of the Galaxy A53 devices.

The Galaxy A53 gets a June 2024 update in Europe

The Galaxy A53 has started getting a new update in Europe with the firmware version number A536BXXSAEXF1. According to the changelog, the latest update for the device will improve security. It means you will not get any significant changes for the device; it will only bring some new features for the device. 

Going into details, the update brings fixes for more than 50 security vulnerabilities found in the software since the last update. Here,  Google has applied 37 patches, and to the satisfaction of customers, Samsung has also added 22 more patches that improve the overall security of the devices.

However, sometimes the security updates also bring new changes to the software, which make improvements to the function and eradicate those issues. If you are using the device in Europe, then you should start receiving new updates, but if you haven’t received the update yet, then wait for some time until the update reaches your device.

For your information, the Galaxy A53 made its debut in the market back in 2022, and it came with Android 12 pre-installed. Later, it received two more major updates in the form of Android 13 and Android 14. Following the software update policy, the device will get one more security patch update.

Samsung pushed June 2024 security patch to its rugged Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy XCover6 Pro

Earlier, Samsung rolled out the June 2024 update to its popular devices; now the company is gradually expanding the update to less-known devices. Here we are talking about rugged smartphones, including the Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy XCover6 Pro.

Notably, the XCover 7 and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers G556BXXS4BXF1 and G736BXXS6EXF1, respectively.

With the latest update, the company is focused on providing security-related enhancements, so if you want to take advantage of new security, then you should update the device. The latest update of these devices is currently spotted in Europe, and it is expected that they will soon be available in more countries. 

According to the official documentation, the latest security patch update will provide nearly 60 patches. Going into the details, there are 37 patches added by Google, and along with this, Samsung adds 22 more patches to the devices.

Moreover, the update may also enhance the performance and stability of the device, so if you’re getting any issues while using any functionality on your device, then you should update your device to the latest version to get rid of those issues.

According to some reports, several users have faced problems after the OneUI 6.1 installation, so if you are also one of them, you should update your device to the latest version. 

To update your device to the latest version, you just need to go to the system settings, select the software update option, tap on the download and install button, and if a new update arrives, tap on the download button.
