Galaxy S10 series receives March 2023 update
Samsung is now rolling out the March 2023 update for the Galaxy S10 devices, including Galaxy S10, S10+ and Galaxy S10e. As the company is randomly distributing the security update, S10 has now joined the list of March 2023 devices with the latest flagship devices.
Earlier, Samsung released the latest patch update in several Galaxy devices, including Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 and many more, but it’s a bit surprising that Samsung joined the S10 device very early because the company has listed the device in Quarterly update category and the previous update already received this quarter as January 2023. According to the information, the latest update is currently rolling out in Europe; users who own Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G973FXXSGHWC1, G975FXXSGHWC1 and G970FXXSGHWC1 respectively.
As said earlier, the new update brings support for March 2023 security patch update. Let’s know more about the update. The latest update comes with over 60 patches. From those, 40 patches were added by Google, which target the Android OS security vulnerabilities, while 23 patches were included by Samsung, which fix different security vulnerabilities that are identified in Galaxy devices.
Galaxy S10 was launched back in 2019, it came with Android 9 preinstalled, and as Samsung promised, the device later received three more updates and currently running on Android 12; however, the device is now out of the league, which means the device is no longer receive the further Android update as well as after getting March 2023 update it may also not get new security updates.
