The Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are receiving the second update for April in the US. The update is now rolled for the carrier-unlocked variants. The carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Note 20 series has already received the same update in several networks, including T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon networks.
As said earlier, the new update for the Galaxy Note 20 comes with the latest security update in the form of an April 2023 security update; it includes several new patches that fix different security vulnerability issues.
According to the official documentation of Samsung, the new security update includes over 60 patches; from those, 51 patches are included by Google that fix the issues in the Android OS. As well as Samsung has also added 23 more patches that improve the functioning of Samsung devices and enhance their overall performance of them. According to the changelog, the update also includes improvements related to Camera and Gallery, which indicates that the device may get the functionality of Image Clipper.
The latest security update for unlocked Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra is coming with the firmware version numbers N981U1UEU4HWD1 and N986U1UEU4HWD1 sequentially. The update is now available on these carriers: T-Mobile, MetroPCS and Sprint.
