Earlier this month, Samsung introduced the August 2023 security update for the Galaxy Tab S9 series devices in several countries, including Europe, Canada, and the US. However, the update was limited to the Wi-Fi variant, and now the device’s 5G variant is receiving the same update.

The Galaxy Tab S9+ is receiving the update with the firmware version number X818USQU1AWH8. According to the official page of Verizon, the new update doesn’t bring any novelty to the device; this means the update only comes as a standard security update.
As per Samsung’s documentation, the latest security patch comes with several new fixes that improve the security of the device. The update also brings some internal enhancements that improve the system’s performance and stability.

Users who own the Galaxy Tab S9+, which is locked to the Verizon network, can easily update their device from the software update menu. This update is available to all users through OTA, so it may take some time to reach every unit of the available devices. You may have to wait for some time.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S9 Series in the recent Galaxy Unpacked event. The device comes with Android 13, with the latest One UI 5.1.1. Samsung has promised to give at least four major updates to the device, so it will get new Android updates up to Android 17. Along with this, the device will also get more security updates.
